Fresh grated coconut : 1 cup
Roasted chana dal (Pottu kadalai) : 1/4 cup
Green chillies : 5
Asafoetida (Hing/Perungayam) : 1/4 tsp
Onion : 1 small, chopped fine
Mustard seeds : 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves : 4-5
Salt to taste
Oil as required
- Grind coconut, pottu kadalai, green chillies asafoetida and salt well by adding a little water.
- Take oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add chopped onions and saute well. Add to the above and mix well.
- Serve with dosa or idli.
